General

That does depend on what you are purchasing. Please bare in mind that everything here is handmade; Jewellery pieces and original art are already complete when put up here for sale, my weekly postal day for these is a THURSDAY each week (orders must be received by 4pm on Wednesdays), but if you need something delivered at short notice please choose FAST TRACKED P&P shipping at checkout and your parcel will be sent out to you on the next working day (order before 6pm weekdays).

Homeware and clothing items are made especially for you once you have made your purchase so please allow for this when placing your order. Please check out my Shipping Policy for further information.

You can gauge where we are with creating your order by visiting our tracking page and inputting your email and order ID number.

Where do I leave you feedback/customer reviews?

I am always very grateful to hear back from those who have used my services or bought something I have made for two reasons really;

  1. so that I can continue to improve my service and
  2. so that I can describe to others what people say so that it gives them confidence to purchase from me.

Please do leave me feedback if you have a moment here, with photos if you are happy to include them. I will then add them to the website.

I thank you in advance for taking the time to leave me feedback.

Do you send parcels abroad?

Yes! If your country and costs show up when you enter your details at checkout then I am sending items to your area.

At present this is set to the UK, Europe and International. You are responsible for all customs and tariff costs for anything sent outside the UK.

Please contact me if you have any questions, or issues at checkout.

Do you accept commissions?

Yes!  If we agree upon a commission piece:
COMMISSION ARTWORK:  a minimum 50% non-refundable deposit is taken up front to allow Elizabeth to start the work. You can pay the whole amount upfront if you so wish. Work will not commence before your deposit is received. The remainder is due before delivery of the work, if you are paying in two parts.  About half way through Elizabeth will take a photo of the work and send you an .jpeg via email so that you can see how things are going. It is at this point that you are allowed to request one change should you wish it.
COMMISSION JEWELLERY:  The whole amount is required upfront for the work to commence.
COMMISSION TIMESCALES: On average commissions take up to 6 weeks to complete, dependant on her work load. She will give you a more accurate timescale at the time of booking.  All details of the design will have been agreed in advance, Elizabeth will contact you if she has any questions.

You are commissioning Liz because you love her work and trust her creative decisions so please bare this in mind when placing your order.  Commissions are personal to you - no refunds are offerred with commissions.  Please see my commissions page for more details.

Any customs duties and/or VAT applicable to deliveries outside the UK are payable by you.  Please keep an eye on your package throughout it's journey so that you can pay any customs charges due immediately. I have sometimes found that the international authorities tend add any customs/VAT fees due online within the tracking and will only release it to you once this is paid. If the customs charges are not paid by you by a certain date (it seems to be about a week to 10 days) they then send the package back to me here in the UK. If this happens I will have to charge you for any extra postal charges incurred.

Do you accept 'Pay in 3'?

Yes! using the Shopify payment system, PayPal and Klarna - at checkout go to payment methods and click on 'alternative payment methods' and select your chosen option.

For your information you can take a look at more information about Klarna here.

I have a problem with your website?

I am making changes to my website and listings myself here, all whilst creating everything you see.  It does mean that sometimes I miss things! - so, if you come across a broken link, have issues with your order/payment, or something doesn't make sense to you please drop me a line at either elizabeth@elizabethsboutique.co.uk or lizshewanart@outlook.com (both work/I like having a backup) and we can sort it out.   Thank you always for your perseverance, and patience.

I have tried calling you and there is no answer?

Unless we have agreed a time to speak you will more than likely NOT find me on the end of the phone, or Zoom if you try to call me without an appointment.

Much of my day is taken up with either pre-booked appointments or tinkering away on a creation that takes a lot of concentration, and often I do not look up from what I am working on as it takes a great deal of concentration and focus.

Please book your appointment with me by purchasing a session; or see if you questions are answered by checking out my FAQ, Terms of Service, Delivery Policy, Refund Policy, Privacy Policy and/or About pages. Should you not find the answer to your question please do drop me an email at elizabeth@elizabethsboutique.co.uk and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Please know, I am a solopreneur so am really busy. I always endeavour to return your call or answer your email within 48 hours (excluding weekends and holidays). I do not work in the evening after 6pm or on a Sunday.

I have an issue or a question about your service, what can I do?

Communication is key. If you have any issues or questions about something that has not been answered here, or came up in your session then please do email me raising your concerns and I will get back to you to discuss it.

Please be patient, I am very busy and may take up to 48 working hours to get back to you. Please also take note of my working hours – I do not reply to queries after 6pm at night or on weekends, especially during unsociable hours.

How long have you been creating your Art?

From a very early age my favourite place was the artroom at school. I loved the smell and wanted to spend all my time in there creating. Alas, life had other plans, I was pushed to academia for many years and lost my way for a while. However, finally I found it again in 1999. A friend saw some paintings I had created for my living room of ballet dancers and was so taken by them that asked me if I would do a show with her in a few months time. I readily agreed and found myself deciding to become a full time artist when I sold 95% of my work at my first ever show! I then had a studio at Wimbledon Art Studios in London for some years, whilst also exhibiting in London Galleries before I moved to the South West of England in 2001 - I craved the countryside and a quieter, greener space ... so I ‘packed up shop’ and moved to the South West to live and work, despite the fact that I only knew one person there at the time. Whilst I was establishing myself in my new home I juggled between being and artist, a youth worker and helping individuals with learning difficulties. After years of study I now also practice as an Energy Healing Consultant for both people and animals, which in my mind fits very well with my artwork. Much of my work is constantly growing and inspired by my experiences with various healing modalities.

How would you describe your work?

I'm not one to stick to just one style of work, although from what people have told me you can always tell it is by me. I am an eclectic artist and wouldn't want to be anything else. I find myself constantly growing and experimenting bringing about several styles of work in whatever medium suits the project. That said, my work always seems to somehow connect the viewer to the slightly mysterious and transcendental. You will see hints of Pagan, Gaelic, Native American, Shamanic and Christian references in places, to name a few - however the specific reference to each is not intended to signify an affiliation with a particular religion or spiritual practice per se ... many symbols within these practices have held deep truth within their meaning for centuries.

How do you work?

I have always been fascinated by watching ... regularly taking photographs as I do so, invariably finding this more satisfying than sketching; being able to instantly catch glimmers of feeling in fleeting moments in both nature and people before they are gone, forever. I then translate this into my work. Often I have no idea what I am going to end up with, I simply flow with the energy of creation knowing when to stop. I am intuitive in the way I work really, it just seems more natural to me. For me the making of my art connects with me the reality and magic of life itself. It keeps me grounded and my energies flowing throughout my life. Having suffered for many years in the past from high anxiety that was often supressed within me this was indeed a blessing. Not only did it help me release energy that needed to be let go of, but it also helped me to observe the world in a more attentive way which helped me find peace in the world. This process drew me closer and closer to nature, in the roundest sense of the word, which has lead me to expressing a sense of optimism within my art ... Art to 'Inspire your Heart'.

Animal Healing & Readings for You

Again, if your questions are not answered here please get in touch, I'm always happy to do my best to help.

Are you offering readings at the moment?

If readings do not appear in my shop here then please assume that at present I am only offering readings to current clients and my books for new clients are closed.

Animals don't speak, so how do you speak communicate with animals?

I am clairsentient, clairvoyant and clairaudient; I feel, see and hear things outside of the spectrum of every day life. Animals have feelings and emotions just like we do – so I work firstly with picking up on their feelings. As I move into their feelings I pick things up telepathically from them that they are trying to communicate to you. They get very frustrated when they are not listened to; and invariably once they have been able to express themselves to you they feel a lot better. Just like us humans really.

Can you help pets with beahvioural problems, especially if pets have been abused?

Yes, they can be helped once I’ve been able to discover the reasons for their problems through communication. Sometimes pets that have been adopted at an older age were abused in their previous homes and this can cause problems in their new homes. Communication can help their new carers to to understand their unique or troublesome behaviours. Any information communicated that can then be used to help those pets satisfactorily adjust to their new environment – usually through mutual negotiation and agreement.

What do animals want to talk about?

They talk about what’s important to them. This could include things about changes in their routine, food they don’t like, where they have a pain in their body, how they feel bored sometimes, what experiences they’ve had in their previous home which has created a ‘fear’ in them, where is their favourite spot to lie in, how we can help them heal and any messages they may like to pass on at the end of their lives.

What if there doesn't seem to be any previous abuse in your pets lives to explain their behaviour?

There can be a few things to explore here. Sometimes new routines have thrown them out of sync and it just takes a few adjustments to sort the problem out. However, at other times – and this happens quite a lot – the animals and carers have been together before in a previous life and experiences from this lifetime or sometimes several lifetimes, are raising their head in this lifetime. I would explore these connections in depth – sharing the information with all parties concerned, and these issues on an energetic level. More often than not as soon as the past life issues have been resolved the emotional charge has been released and a healing, often quite dramatic, takes place.

Can you always covince an animal to stop a certain behaviour?

Not always. All animals have free will, and in some cases, we’re asking them to stop doing something that’s prompted by their natural instincts. That said, I would talk through both sides to the story openly and attempt to reach a compromise that works well for all concerned. There are times where I will need to work with you as well as you may be impacting your animal without realising. Sometimes these things take time to resolve. Each case is different.

What can you do to help sick or injured animals?

Being a skilled empath I can tell exactly where the pain is located in their body, by feeling it in my own. This, and details about accidents, can be confirmed by the animals themselves through communication; being especially useful if nobody was witness to an accident. I can feel how intense their pain actually is. If need be I will douse for confirmation. This information is very useful for a veterinarian, or a chiropractor; either providing new information or confirmation. Translating for sick or injured animals is intense and beneficial – rewarding all concerned.

Do you work with pets who are dying or are about to be put down?

If an animal is dying it is always very comforting for them to be able to communicate their end-of-life wishes so that I can help their wishes be honoured. Animals usually know when their time has come and they like to have help whilst making their transition to the light. Sometimes they ask me to tell their carers that it is time for them to go.

Please visit this page to find out more, and make your booking.

What is your first memorable experience helping an animal?

When I was about 7 years old. I still remember it; being very close to my family dog. When it was time for her to pass I was terribly upset, and sat with her by her side for many hours talking with her and offering her healing comfort. When the time came for her to go I instinctually knew what to do – I do not come from a family who showed me the way. I continued to speak with her and comfort her; and she comforted me too – but it didn’t stop me crying! She was eventually taken to the vets to be put to sleep to ease her pain, so from a distance I helped her to move on to the other side.

How do I book an animal healing session?

Please visit my bookings page to make your appointment.

What is your general liability poiicy for working with animals?

I ask you to recognize that I will always have your best interests at heart and that with hard work and an open mind you can make life-changing strides in your healing and goals. However, as with anything in life, there are no guarantees and your success is dependent upon your effort outside of healing, counselling, coaching as well so no guarantees are being made.

Once again for legal reasons Elizabeth is obliged to state that The Healing and Veterinary Surgery Act 1966 prohibits anyone other than a qualified veterinary surgeon from diagnosing ailments. Elizabeth is not, nor is anyone else at Elizabeth Shewan The Artist and Clairvoyant, a vet. Elizabeth's role is to describe the symptoms revealed by the animal during our communication. The Protection of Animals Act 1911 requires that if an animal clearly needs treatment from a veterinary surgeon the owner must obtain this. When you consult about any animal with Elizabeth Shewan The Artist and Clairvoyant you automatically acknowledge that your animal has seen a vet about any pre-existing and existing conditions it may have prior to any animal communication/healing. Owners are requested to advise their veterinary surgeons of their intention to use healing or any other complementary therapy alongside conventional treatment. The healing of animals and contact healing, by the laying on of hands or distance healing is legal.

Please see Terms and Conditions before purchasing any sessions, it is automatically assumed that you have read and agreed to these terms and conditions upon purchase. Any questions just ask.

Bring Nature into your Life

I'm glad your're here. I hope you like what you see.

Enough to make some of it part of your life, to bring the energy of nature and love into your life.

This black and white photo is of me in the studio I had in London at Wimbledon Arts Studios back in the early days -1999 when my career as a professional artist began. Inspired by a life changing moment into the world of Art by African Wildlife on a never to be forgotten trip into the Maasai Mara. And gosh what a journey I have travelled since!

Please do take a good look around. And as always, any questions please just ask. ust ask.
