The Three of Cups Tarot Card Meaning – The Hare Tarot Deck

The Three of Cups Tarot Card Meaning – The Hare Tarot Deck

Elizabeth Shewan

This is the first card that I designed for this deck, a very appropriate card to start with.  There are several layers to why this is so fitting: I part designed a different Tarot Deck about 10 years ago and it ended up going on the back burner.  Now the time is right to continue on that path again after it has been simmering away in the background for so long.  In August 2016 a very close friend died which left me devastated and it was almost as though her passing prompted me to start this project again.  I started almost straight away as it was very cathartic.  I was also nudged, encouraged and supported by a lady with whom we have a wonderful connection and friendship, and she encouraged me to keep focused… so that is definitely something to celebrate!  But not only that –– the result of this deck will end up helping others.  So those of you who know the Tarot can see how appropriate this card is to start this journey.

Update November 2025:  Life got in the way a bit (running my business as an example), and I still have quite a few cards to design.  I have turned this card into a beautiful long sleeved cotton shirt.  I hope you like it (see the shirt at the end).

Circle of Friends

This card oozes feminine energy, and you can see that these three doe are having a wonderfully bonding time out in the grasslands celebrating the moment, they love banding together to celebrate the good times, leaping, jumping and playing.  They have been through thick and thin supporting each other every step of the way and oftentimes they can be seen in the fields letting off steam together in this healthy way when they need to recuperate – often joined by the transformative butterflies and the dragonfly messengers.

Don’t Over Do It

A reminder from the blackberries:  It’s easy to get a bit carried away though, so don’t be too selfless.  Even though they are good friends you need to keep your boundaries firm and not get lost in the bliss.  These meetings are all about fun and really celebrating the good side of life, so if you don’t think you have the energy to go and join in because you need some ‘me’ time then don’t go, you will only regret it!

Love, Support and Compassion

That said the appearance of this card indicates a sociable time, and it truly helps us remember to balance all aspects of our lives;  so if you’ve been working too hard it’s time to let your hair down and have some fun … laugh as much as you can, it will fill your aura with light and create a halo around your crown chakra which will help you to open up to what is beyond your personal preoccupations and visions – this is why laughing and having fun is so good for you - it will help you to gain access to higher states of consciousness without the use of drugs or alcohol!

Abundance

The berries, being feminine in nature, offer you abundance and prosperity.  Signifying a good harvest they are also healing and protective against earthbound spirits and vampires.  But again, remember your boundaries and don’t get too close – if you prick yourself with a thorn from the blackberry bush your enemies could conspire with your friends against you.  Exercise vigilant discernment even when you are in a fully joyous state and all will be well.

Embrace your adventurous spirit with this Three of Cups Hare Tarot Card ...
