In the Studio as the Winter Draws Close

In the Studio as the Winter Draws Close

Elizabeth Shewan
Sometimes I'm not sure what's happening, I just build ...

(I knew I wanted to create this living breathing mystical plant like look over a crystal)
Actually, I'd say that's the case 85 % of the time.
The studio is, how can I describe it, sort of a morph space where it's been living for so long it kind of grows art with me in a spontaneous way...

(I had no idea I was going to use this labradorite moon, it just worked.)
As if it's a living being.
A living organism.
...pieces that haven't worked in one piece curiously becomes perfect for another.

(I've yet to finish this here, work in progress still)
Nothing gets thrown away, wasted.
It always becomes part of the next.
Even if it's months later.
All in a tiny tiny space.
